Greg Daigle -

In addition to being Executive Director of Digital Watershed, Greg is also President of Jet Flyer LLC, a digital media consultancy, and teaches Interface Design to senior and graduate level students at the University of Minnesota. In 2004 he co-led e-Learning audits for Delta Airlines World Headquarters, and in 2005 and 2007 led corporate wide e-Learning audits for US Bank and Wells Fargo Bank, respectively. He has participated as a pivotal team member of over 60 completed interactive projects and has twenty-one years experience managing software and product development.

Greg managed creative and production staffs for the interactive division of agency Bozell Kamstra, an Ad Age and Adweek Top-100 interactive advertising agency. His staff of fourteen included an Executive Producer, Senior Producers, Design Director, Development Director, Programming Director, Instructional Designer, Copy Editor and other staff. The team developed National Corporate Web sites, Corporate Intranets and CD-ROMs/DVDs for clients such as 3M, SciMed. Agilent and Aveda.

His experience in e-learning and interactive software for kids is extensive. In 1989 he co-founded and was CTO of new media firm, ICONOS, inc. ICONOS was a pioneering firm in adventure science software and e-learning including “What’s the Secret? “ the adventure science CD-ROM series based on the Emmy-Award winning, national PBS science series, Newton’s Apple.

ICONOS garnered over 40 national and international software awards including over 30 awards and distinctions for “What’s the Secret?s” from the software, film and video industries. These awards included 2 Golden Eagle Awards from the Cine International Film Festival, 2 Silver Screen Awards from the US International Film and Video Festival, 2 Silver Awards from the National Education Media Network, and 2 Gold ( plus 3 Silver) Awards from International Cinema in Industry. ICONOS received over 70 mentions in the press and online for interactive work including USA Today, San Jose Mercury News, Children’s Software Review, Macweek, The Wall Street Journal, The Christian Science Monitor and CBS Television’s “This Morning”.

At ICONOS, the team also developed CD-ROM’s, laptop presentations, Intranets, interactive kiosks and Websites for clients such as United Airlines, Chase Bank, Honeywell, The National Park Service, American Express, The St. Paul Companies, the University of St. Thomas and 3M. Greg’s roles were not limited to directing software development and quality assurance. He also composed the technology vision, maintained corporate finances and daily corporate operations and played a major role in project proposals, budgeting and overall project management. In 1998, he and the other owners of ICONOS sold the firm to the InterPublic Group.

Greg has also been an Assistant Dean at Western Michigan University and an Associate Professor of Design at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. He was Senior Designer and Research Manager for office chair design guru William Stumpf, whose designs are manufactured by Herman Miller. He holds four degrees including an M.F.A. from the University of Illinois and an M.S. from the Paul Merage School of Business, UC Irvine.

Other activities include Steering Committee for the Minnesota Electronic Theater, judge for the University of MN Learning Software Design Competition, grant recipient for educational work in virtual world Second Life, and has addressed all employees of Macromedia (now Adobe) at their International Employee Retreat. Greg is currently a citizen reporter on new technologies for OhmyNews and has presented at their international conference in Seoul, S. Korea.
